instafriday

saturday night we held a little patio pizza party complete with zinnias and sunflowers from the garden. it was our last family dinner with jesse's parents before they drove back to houston.

after an early morning wake-up to say goodbye to grandpa viejo and grandma scrunchies, we decided to make the most of the beautiful sunday start and head over to the bosque to watch the last mass ascension of balloonfiesta. hot drinks in hand, of course. followed by baptisms at church made for an excellent morning.

monday i chose to just keep singing.

the happiest of happy mail is when a friend knows your heart.

i had a root canal on tuesday which was just awful.  the pain is just now subsiding and i am getting sensation back in my cheek.  so the playing in this outdoor fort for an entire afternoon was just what this mama needed.

and then this guy built me a fire after that long day.

and then it was gia's turn in the dentist chair.  darn our soft teeth.

my crafting partner at the local anthropologie holiday display workshop.  such good mid week crafting therapy.

which spurred me on to do some crafting at home on thursday.  after a long dry spell, i was inspired to make something pretty.  also?  i am on a mission to get our landlord to let me paint the front door turquoise.

do i ever not need this reminder?  the answer is no.

1) she would eat a bowl of olives at every meal if we let her.

2) she talks like a barbie movie (or self-help book). "never stop practicing!" is her new motto.

3) she has been wearing the same clothes for 3 days since we bagged up all of the others (costumes included) as a consequence for not taking care of her things.

the cause for praise concert at our church (luca and i spent most of the time in the foyer due to the too-loud-for-his-spd-ears volume) followed by a family date at a favorite local spot was such an unexpectedly sweet time together.    

(i forgot to post this last night! church worship concert, family date night and final baby shower prep for this morning were more important.  but we'll still count this as day 18.  cause i get to make the rules here and all.)
