I homeschool.  I wanted to homeschool, long before we were able to make it work.  Maybe even before God burdened our hearts that it really was his plan and not ours.  We are a year and half in and I have to continue to choose joy.  My vision for what the day to day should look like has hardly compared to what it does.  I have told many a people who cared to ask that I only need to be as smart as today's lesson plan and I will figure it all out by the time they graduate.  My schedule, are lack there of, might make most Mommas cringe, but it works for us.  Day by day I'm learning how to love my littles better.  How to adapt to their learning needs.  To block out criticism and welcome wisdom.  It's a tightrope, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I am the heaviest I have ever been.  I piled on the pounds when I had my babies, ahem 11 and 9 years ago, and like a best friend it's stuck around through the good and the bad.  Funny enough I may be the most confident I have ever been too.  But, under the laughter and jokes I'm losing sight of what I used to look like and what I could look like.  Maybe you thought I would say I'm finding beauty in who I am today, and while I am it's the beauty in being healthy that I am looking to.  I'm finding beauty in my diet and how it can dictate what I look like tomorrow.  I'm finding beauty in exercise and how it will make me feel tomorrow.  And I'm looking at my husband and children's faces and desperately grabbing hold of the beauty in being alive tomorrow and every day after...for them and for me.

I hope you find hope in my story and that you look to the Father in all circumstances, good or bad to find refuge.
