honduras here we come! in just a few hours, i meet up with the others on my team. we are staying at a church overnight and leaving for the airport at 4:30am tomorrow. i am sooooooo excited!
all day, i have been feeling more and more sentimental about leaving my family as well. jesse and i drove up to my parents yesterday. the little ones will be staying with cece and grandpa cashew for the next 4 days while jesse works like a crazy man all weekend to finish a project. he will pick them up on tuesday and be on his own until next saturday night. we said goodbye last night when he left around 10pm to drive back to champaign. this is the longest we have been apart since marrying 8 and half years ago. i have never been away from the kids for more than 4-5 days either.
i look forward to coming home closer to God, more in love His people, and rededicated to my role as a wife and mother. please keep me and the entire team in your prayers. love you all!
i was hoping to leave all of you with a 2008 year-in-review letter to enjoy for the next 8 days. it is sitting in edit mode, only halfway done, and will be posted sometime in the week or two after i get back.
