the simple power of imagination

where is your imagination?  is it nearby?  well-used?  do you keep it at the ready?  do you itch to pull it out at a moment's notice?

or is it in a cobwebby closet sitting high up on a shelf behind a box of childhood knickknacks?  did you misplace it?  do you miss it?  does it miss you?

i am a firm believer in the simple power of imagination.  i jump headfirst into the words of lewis and tolkien and rowling.  my library card swipes more fantasy fiction novels than any other genre.  the intricate worlds created by these talented authors amazes me.  i am so thankful for their God given ability to "lay bare the human heart."

as a parent, i am dedicated to fostering my littles' imaginations.  what a gift that is!  i have the extremely great honor of being able to pepper their days with fairies and dragons.  i get to see the delight in their faces with each new story told and each new friend made.

we are creations of the ultimate storyteller.  the imagination needed to think up this earth is unfathomable.

what if we tried to reflect the tiniest fraction of God's creativity?  can you just imagine it?

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or IMAGINE, according to His power that is at work within us.
