as if my boy could be more handsome, i now present to you luca with glasses. don't you love them??? so far the transition has been smooth. he wears them without complaint. in fact, he likes being able to see. imagine that! there really is a noticeable improvement in his day to day functioning.
quick question: any tips or links on taking photos of people with glasses? i keep getting the glare on the lenses. i am sure i will get the hang of it at some point, but i would rather just skip that and get good shots now.

Annalea, Luca is adorable!! Tips on reducing glare: Have him look down just a touch, or angle the glasses themselves facing down (just a little though, otherwise it will look funny). That way the light is not directly hitting the lenses. Some photographers also take out the lenses, but obviously that can be difficult.

Anywho, I started wearing glasses when I was about 5. If you tilt them down 45 degrees the glare will almost vanish. I don't know if they offered it to you, but for $80-$100 extra, they will coat the lenses with an anti-reflective gloss that I've had 100% success with. I so remember getting glasses when I was 7 and finding out that trees actually have leaves! also being amazed at seeing stuff and not realising that everyone else had been able to see it before :)
My little guy got glasses at 14 months old, and I have found that standing slightly above, looking down on him works well. Some of my favs of him are where he is peeking over the tops of his glasses. It'll get easier.
