we retreated and it felt like fall

the annual fall retreat is a highlight of the year for illini life.  luca starts talking about it in january.

and the aftermath is always the same.  we are tired and a bit grubby.  a larger than usual pile of laundry is waiting.  the cooler needs to be wiped down and the van needs a good vacuuming.

it is all so worth it.  we spent much-needed time connecting with our church family.  there are old friends to catch-up with and new students to meet.   i am much too sleepy to do it justice right now.  but trust me, it is awesome.

tonight we set aside the post retreat clean-up to eat pizza and watch a panda learn kung-fu.

now time to sleep in our own beds.  goodnight!
