at the beginning of 2010, i was a craft blogging newbie. i had just started to get my feet wet in this world. the world of taking photos of my creative process and sharing them with others. meeting sweet on-line friends with similar interests. being inspired by their ideas and work. finding a new way to grow as an artist.
it was different. and a little weird. but it also felt so good. like part of me was just waiting for this world.
last february, i had a 2 month old and almost never left the house. cabin fever was setting in and i wanted to shake things up. so i challenged myself to my first blog series. two whole weeks of simple handmade gift ideas for sweeties big and small. i called it gifts from the hart. (you know, because i am so clever and funny.)
but seriously, i loved it. the kiddos and i had so much fun. we made memories along with those gifts. pretty great way to get through the end of winter. and i learned so much. coming up with the felt roses and love letters banners definitely spurred on the opening of my etsy shoppe.
this year, i invited some of my favorite creative blog friends to join me for a handmade gift series. can i tell you how thrilled i am that they said yes? i have never had guests before!!! for the next two weeks, these nine ladies will be sharing their own gifts from the heart. so excited to see what they come up! please join me in giving them a warm welcome.
