hello there!

i did not intend to be away for the week and now i am feeling a bit off my blogging game.  just when i think i have my feet under me after these past few months, i realize it is still a very delicate balance.  a major case of homesickness made last week kinda fuzzy.  working-with-my-hands-therapy helped me through the worst of it, but the kiddos and i are still feeling pretty blue.

but our days have a little extra pizzaz this week.  it is balloon fiesta time!  on sunday we took a super duper early mostly pajama clad drive to watch our first mass ascension.  it was simply stunning.  and if you know of enzo's LOVE of all things hot air balloon, you can imagine the excitement level in our minivan.  yeah, i think we moved to a pretty sweet city.

when asked, we enthusiastically state we love new mexico.  but that is side by side with an intense sadness for our old life.  i don't know when it gets easier.  a lot of it has to do with the relationships we left behind and those we have yet to form deeply here.

for now we will let the colorful balloons outside our windows distract us from homeschooling.
all while keeping our hearts fixed on Him.
xoxo,
annalea
