jesse snuck outside after brunch to capture a few shots of our white christmas-y backyard. it was the snowiest december on record for champaign. it has since melted and i so, so miss it. thanks babe for these reminders of how pretty winter can be in illinois.
in the afternoon, my parents and brothers came over. they brought my dad's famous lasagna and yummy spinach salad. my brothers even baked the cookies. i was only in charge of the garlic bread!
this was, by far, the best reaction of the day. luca now has a pygmy marmoset! i think his exact words were,
"i didn't know i was going to get something this cute!"i am so glad my camera was at the ready. thank you mom for finding him this.
although we expected an all day pajama party, gia wanted to wear her beautiful hand-me-down christmas dress and new barrettes. bad photo i know, but she was really hard to capture that day. i guess that is what happens when you aren't willing to look up from the new dolls and pink legos.
i think enzo would have been fine with just paper and boxes. and the tunnel of course. but those bare feet also look uber cute in his new skateboarding monster shoes.
my parents and grandma also gave us money for a new printer. we have had the same one since we married in 2000! it has barely worked the last couple years and finally went kaput this fall. i feel like a whole new world has opened up to me now that i have quality printing available. it will be such a blessing for homeschooling, my etsy shoppe and personal crafting. thank you so much!!!
