over the last few days we have been introducing gia to the wonderful world of applesauce. she started rice cereal at about 4 months old and we were planning on waiting to start fruits and veggies until she was 6 months old. she has been really hungry lately and fussy throughout the end of the day. adding to these factors that she is such a big girl (off the charts for both height and weight) we started a bit early. she is very intrigued with this new taste. today was the first day that she waited with her mouth open between each bite.
it made me a bit sad today when i realized that i can no longer be the only source of nutrition for my little girl. definitely the next step in her continuing independence.
