friday night our friends tracy and nate got married! tracy was absolutely stunning and the ceremony was beautiful on the lake. favorites of the evening included: everyone walking down the aisle barefoot, the bridesmaids singing alison kraus' down to the river to pray as they walked down the aisle, olivia being adorable as the flower girl and trying to fling the petals out of her basket as she waved it side to side, the sparkler send off as they drove away in a firetruck (luca's number one favorite), and dancing until 11pm with a crazy toddler. 
it is definitely hard to stay focused when you have a two year old and eight month old in tow, but you make it work. my pics are definitely skewed towards when our children were less demanding. luca also was a big fan of the dozens and dozens of cupcakes lining the cake table and convinced us to let him have two (because he had to have one green and one white). the cake turned out great - tracy loved it, yeah!
since the ceremony started at 7pm, we knew it would be a late night for our family, but didn't plan on being crazy party animals. gia fell asleep in her stroller and luca really wanted to dance, so crazy we were. watch these fun videos of luca breakin' it down on the dance floor. he was super tired by this time and his energy was beginning to lag. one of his fave babysitters, jason, was the dj for the reception and he gave a little shout out to the boy. (and in case you were wondering, everyone around him was imitating his spinning moves.)
