last march, our potager was under construction. we actually began the work exactly a year ago today. crazy. that meant no early spring crops for 2009. so this was not only the first sowing of the season, but the first ever for this garden.
it was a lot cooler today, but unlike many folks north and south of here, we had no snow and very little rain this weekend. wahoo! so we braved the gusty weather and got our hands dirty.
what are we growing? peas, snap peas, radishes, lettuce, spinach, onions, swiss chard, and cabbage to start. the kiddos and i will start indoor seeds this week. i have some fun plans to get them even more involved this year.
