this is my 500th post. and to celebrate i am throwing a party. . . all week long. . .right here on our hartbeat. fun, right? i hope you think so.
oh and it's my birthday on thursday! so this is also my way of celebrating 31 years here on this earth.
this little place i have created online has been such a blessing. i love the people i have met and the ability to keep in touch with family and friends far away. i can be connected when i can't leave home. i find inspiration, get encouragement, share my creativity, and document our life. i heart blogging.
sooooo, let's start off with a giveaway! this is a first for me so i am super duper excited.
i made this sweet little bird ornament just for you guys. she is made with mulberry and ivory wool-blend felt, stitched with hot pink thread and embellished with a felt rose, lace, beads, ribbon, and a jingle bell.
leave a comment by 7am central time tomorrow, tuesday the 23rd. in your comment, tell me about the last party you hosted.
and for a second entry, write about the giveaway on twitter/facebook or your blog. but leave a second comment to let me know!
she's ready to fly home. . .will it be to you?
(i will be doing more giveaways all week, so keep an eye out!)

Wow! I read your question and thought this is exciting I love to talk about things I have hosted...then I paused and couldn't come up with a "party" I have hosted recently. We have had plenty of people that that we have hosted for dinner or a visit, but it has been a long time (pre-Hamilton) since I have put a party together that isn't for work. I am excited about a baby shower I am hosting in a couple of weeks...it is a garden themed baby shower and brunch. We asked the ladies to bring a gift from different parts of the baby's day to fill up the different rows of the garden we are planting for our lady of honor. I would tell more, but fear said lady reads your blog and want some of the details to be a surprise -- but I am excited about throwing this party and realize through your question this is something I really like to do that I have laid aside since pregnancy -- I think it is time to dust off my hostess apron and get inviting!
Hmmm... I am going to say that holidays do not count, so the last party before that was for Killian's birthday, he was super 5... love him if I knew how to put picks in my comment I would. My friend Court, www.kalicocrafts.blogspot.com made him a superman/super5 shirt, and we had homemade cupcakes (strawberry, yum, yum) and were surrounded by all of our family and some close friends, because according to Killian good friends ARE family!
Check out my post on your Hart Party!

Happy early birthday!
Well the last party I hosted was my son Wyatt's 7th birthday party in October. We all went ice skating, then came back here and ate yummy food, played some twister, and had cake. It was fun, but really LOUD! :p
happy 500th post, congrats!
i chose you as someone to pass on the kreativ blogging award to. if you've gotten it before or you choose not to, it's completely ok! either way i will still read your blog and think it's awesome :)
the icon is over here on my post and you just copy it, pick seven more deserving blogs to pass it to, and then share seven unknown things about yourself which is kind of fun.

The last party I hosted was a cookie party at Christmas for all the little kiddos in the family. I will be having a small party to celebrate baby number 3, I have great ideas in the works.
Happy Birthday.

bff's baby shower for 61 ladies...held in an old victorian mansion...great time had by all!
Mine was a baking birthday party. It was SO much fun!
This blog party is such a fun idea!
I check your blog at LEAST once a week...love it! :) The last party I hosted was my first 'formal' dinner party for my parents and in-laws. I wanted an excuse to use all the china I registered for (after almost 4 years of marriage), and I found really cute daisy napkin rings that made me happy spring was coming. I got to wear a really cute apron and it felt like some goofy rite of passage into domestic adulthood! :)
