on july 28, 2000, i married my best friend. we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. ten years later, we are still figuring it out.
i won't pretend we have it all together. mostly, we just forgive each other a lot for all the sorrow we cause. (and laugh at all of our nonsense whenever possible - yes, i know i am overly sensitive!) i know that we are more committed to our marriage covenant with God than we are to the imperfect people we married. which has brought us to this day.
ten years. TEN YEARS! how is that we are old enough to say that? i still feel so young. i *am* still so young. but i don't think we married too young. i just think we grew up together.
we will keep on following jesus, making the hard choices, and persevering through the muck of such a broken world. but there will also be the laughing and dancing and loving. i think lots of the loving would be awesome. and the dancing too. and i am confident that raising these three littles will bring laughter (and gray hair).
i love you babe. thank you for . . . just, thank you. i am forever your bride.

This is LOVELY! You have put into words all the things I feel about my marriage (though we've only been married 4 years). We, too, still feel so young, but it just gets better! I am so happy to have grown up with my husband.
May God grant you many (more!) happy years in peace, health, and happiness! Here's to the next 50 years, at least :)
Congratulations! It is so wonderful to hear about how you have chosen to constantly commit yourselves to each other and to God.
