during some of our rest time this weekend, i was able to create a little welcome to spring and all of its loveliness. even if spring means windstorms that knock down 40 foot limbs off your neighbors tree that bounce off your jeep. (amazingly, there is not even a scratch.)
this wreath used to sport two long berry type garlands. i had the two birds and the moss leftover from a project a couple years back. i found the vintage orange flower earrings a trip to goodwill last fall. i had a feeling they would end up on some kind of wreath. the red rose is part of broken earring. the pink flower was made from fabric scraps - that i stapled together! i hot glued everything into place. no crazy techniques. just simple tools and great fun. satisfying for my crafty soul.
oh and the "HIS" necklace i slipped on my sweet nesting bird came from dear lora. thanks hon!
i added this butterfly pin to the lace and twine. . . just because it is so pretty. it was from that same thrifting trip last fall. i heart goodwill.
my dining room is decidedly spring-ier now that this wreath is hanging on the turquoise mirror. don't you think?
and now i am wondering . . . how are you welcoming spring in your home?
