this year, our valentine's day was more about coming to terms with the loss of a beloved uncle and preparing our home for the arrival of out of town guests. but we were able to carve out a bit of family time that morning. not that we typically go overboard for this hallmark holiday, but i am a fan of celebrating love any day of the year. this one just gives a handy excuse to serve pink heart pancakes, drape red hearts on our chandelier and pass notes to our sweet-harts. i kinda love hearts.
